Poem: My Darling Child

My Dearest Child

As much as it pains me

I have to watch you

Crawl through this

Like how you learnt

Your very first walk

As much it tears me

I can’t banish

Your fears or suffering

I can’t make them

Disappear

As much as I want to

I can’t do it for you

You’ll have to find

Your own strength

Your own courage

Because

When you do

You will come

To believe in yourself

As much as I have always

Believed in YOU.

My Dearest Child,

When you see what I see

When you understand

What I understand

You’ll know why

I can never abandon you

YOU are a part of me,

The very best of me,

You are beauty and love

Personified.

It’s never about how much you are loved

It is about how much you love yourself

The day will come when my darling child

Grows into an amazing darling woman

That will be the day my heart celebrates with joy.

Being Afraid Is Human, But Staying Afraid Is A Choice.

wonderful and emotional… as I have 2 “old babies”(responsible adults!)… 🙂 to be a parent is a full-time job that it’s not taught in any “school”… affection, courage, patience and good luck! 🙂

So right – There is no manual, or handbook. No right or wrong as every child is so different. No one formula works for all. It is an on-going learning curves with sharp inclines, twists and turns. Thank you for your kind wishes 🙂
