Guest Blog: A Letter to my Ex

I had the priviledge and honour to guest blog for a dear fellow blogger-friend, Charlotte Lea. I am a big fan of her blog and writing. Therefore, I chose to do something personal that is worthy of her blog, and our friendship. Her blog, The Good Girl Confessional is a treasury of beautiful sharing. She is witty and does not miss a beat. We both share some similarities, such as we were both previously married, and have kids. Well, I have one. She is Australian and I am Malaysian, yet we became “friends” despite the distance.

Many know that I am a single mother, and have been divorced for over 12 years. I do not really like talking about my divorce, as I share many similar friends with my Ex-husband. And no matter how I put it, or what I say, it does not make any difference now. The last thing I wanted was He said, She said – or rather, She protested and He accused.

So, this guest blog for Charlotte is probably the closest thing to me talking about my divorce in a more personal way.

This is an excerpt from the guest blog I wrote for the Good Girl Confessional

“We were very different individuals back then – young, naive and full of “un-realistic” ideals. I say “unrealistic” because neither of us fully understood the enormity and depth of what it meant to be committed in a marriage. Our definition of marriage was also different then. “

Please head over to Charlotte’s blog and show her some love.

As always, start your own brand of fearless living and love the life you live.

Peace 🙂

As small blurb but still saying a lot about young innocent love.
