Poem: The Human Race

Humanity

Turn off the screens,

Watch the flow of dreams

In each other’s eyes.

Shut down the devices,

Touch life’s most precious

As they become memories

Most priceless.

Silence the noise,

But never the voice,

Listen to the music

Played from the heart,

Songs of love irreplaceable.

What dreams may craft,

How earth may move,

As the day slips into night,

We each are rightful stars

Whose light made history

Burst into life.

Let the sun and moon,

Bear witness

To the wonders of the human race –

Beauty in the mundane,

Magic in the ordinary,

 Our individual definition

Of happiness, love and perfection

Is the great artistry of LIFE.

May the music of life never stops dancing in our veins.

The more people who can read such words the better. Be well, Shirley. No rush on the email. Let our minds ruminate. 🙂 x

Shirley, so beautiful and well-timed. I think I need to refocus on what’s important in life. Thank you!!

Thank you, D. I know Real life can never be replaced by reel life or digital life. There’s so much to be done, as I spend too much time on the net as well 😉

My goal of writing a novel or two keeps me at a computer, but I need to remember why that’s my dream and not get distracted by “other stuff”.

It is the same with me – I made a vow to complete my book of poetry and a short fiction. So, there’s the two, and then the other writing and social media to work at on a daily basis. Still, I am much better now. I do leave the house and do other stuff now LOL

Once baseball gets in full swing for my boys in March, I’m not sure I’ll be seen on here again until October. 🙂 (I’ll just lose some sleeping time!)

I plan on carrying my journal with me everywhere and then posting late at night (early morning) if necessary. I don’t plan on disappearing completely. But between the 3 of them, I will have 4 team schedules to maintain. It gets a little crazy. But I wouldn’t have it any other way. 🙂

How important it is to listen to ones own heart beat and dance with life through life enjoying the simple things in life.

So very true. Such a wise crow you are! I don’t know my early comment did not get published. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, as always 🙂

    Dearest Shirley,
Absolutely Awesome! I Miss You! I’m slowly going through 3,000 emails. I have not forgotten our intent to collaborate. I would very much like to compose a piece with you. Some days are better than others. I’m looking forward to getting back on track very soon.
    Hugs & Kisses,
    Anastasia

Missing you too! I hope that you are on the road to better and that we will soon “meet online” again. I am just crawling out of the dark pit myself. So, here’s to us both getting back on track. Hugs and love, dearest Anastasia.
