Poem: Sanctioned Silence

Silence

I will keep quiet

I promise

No one will ever hear

About the cobwebs and lies

All the closets

Will be nailed shut

No skeletons within sight

No one will ever know

The mirrors will never show

How pretty little bows

 Morphed into merciless ropes

Tightening the screws

Marking the bruises

My soul undone

They will never learn

Of fresh horrors

That scream behind

Bolted closed doors

Frightful speeches

Held new hostages

Coercing obedience

Take back your poison

I’m not buying the treason

Call off your assault-dogs

For I’ll slay their claws

Rescind your puppets

Or I’ll choke their trumpets

Look what you’ve made me do

Return the peace

You’ve robbed from me

Please

Leave me

My dignity

My sanity

And the remains

Of my shattered bliss

You’re no longer my destiny

I offer, MY SILENCE

Grant me, MY FREEDOM

When this is all over

You won’t even notice

I was ever here

My name, my face

Shall be ERASED

From ALL database

As Form returns to Emptiness

YOUR LOVE

WAS MY DISEASE

HURTING ME

FROM INSIDE

NOW,

I AM

FINALLY

FREE.

THANK YOU yet again! Yes, I am much encouraged to keep exploring through writing. To be frank, writing poems was something I found hardest to do in the past. Now, it is becoming slightly more familiar 😉
