Poem: Seasons of Love

IMG_1881

Powerless

Against

Ceaseless

Movements

Of Time

Looking up

At the Vastness

Of the Sky

Wishing You

Were Right Here

By My Side

To savour

This Summer of Love

Fearless

As each wave washes

To the shore

Another day vanishes

A week passes

Into months

Soon it will be

Autumn

As the leaves

Fall

And the trees

Wither

Like my waning

Will

Fall

Wintery winds

Usher coldness

Into our homes

Freezing our hearts

Burying our courage

Under the snow

The warmth

Of our love

Carved

Into Ice

Like scupltures

Of white mirages

In exile

Snow

How did our passion turn sour

Like milk when abandoned

We scour

Through the seasons

Searching

For a love

We once knew

A love we used to

Cherish and adore

Should we hold onto

Till Spring

When the thawing begins

And the frost fades

Will the buds blossom then?

Can our love be reignited?

Lovely poem filled with want. Is there hope?

This poem is inspired by a couple who is working very hard to re-build their marriage and re-define their love for one another. I am a firm believer in Hope 🙂
