Poetry Erotica No.7: Lyrical Desire

Lyrical Desire

The hours tick

As every second bleeds

Into the darkness thick

And the music begins

His fingers strumming

Along the white ivories

Plucking every melody

From the strings

Of my clamoring heart

Drumming against

Every vein of my desire

Rubbing my clit afire

 Every note

Ignites each button

Every key he touches

My body torches

Sweeps over me

 A burning mess

Is all I’ve become

I want to feel

Deep into

His World

I need to feel

Profoundly into

My Universe

Oh, how he plays the pianoforte

Penetrating the layers

As he flays my petaled fort

Flaming my tingling thighs

I am but all

Dripping wet

 His lyrical

Being Afraid Is Human, But Staying Afraid Is A Choice.

Terrific wordplay, Shirley, if I might say so – I shall never look at a pianoforte in quite the same way again… 😉 This is sexy, and intelligent writing – a powerful combination to be sure.

There is a powerfull message in your writing..not just the lust or the hot…is the immmense power of the deepest feelings driving my desire trough your unknown hills and recesses….as they materialize with your words in my dreams……

They say that music soothes the soul, but here it is the opposite..

Well, that is the beauty of music, isn’t it? It can soothe…it can excite…it can mirror one’s heartache through sad love songs…it can motivate and inspire. Music is a many splendoured thing 🙂

Dear Shirley, I can imagine that the erotic nature of your poetry could encourage some male (or female) “numbsculls” to form misconceptions of who you are and what type of woman you are, and then make stupid or crass comments. It is very brave of you, I think, to express such erotic themes in a public blog, which is one of the reasons I find you so intriguing. Why brave? Because the type of love (and sex) you describe is so intense (and real, according to my own experience of what you describe) that it must have come from personal experience, which could leave you vulnerable to commentators who do not respect or understand your candour.

As to where your musings spring from, I choose to believe that they are born from personal experience, rather than from a ‘very’ vivid imagination, but however your erotic prose is inspired, Shirley, it is 100% spot on, in my humble opinion – and makes me smile 🙂

    Kind regards,

I really appreciate your comments, Robert. Not many people understand why I write, and many more misunderstand who I am. It is human nature. But I believe sharing is caring. Above all, sharing is very much also a learning in itself. I see beauty in being honest and real. I also see beauty in every aspect of humanity. Love, sex and relationships are central themes of humanity. To me, my poetry erotica series and blog posts are not porn. And they will not support porn. They are aimed at understanding humanity at an honest, and real-life level. And yes, my imagination is much more vivid than my real life. HAHA
